The Alliance (Association Societies Alliance) is a voluntary membership organization comprised of local, regional, multi-state, independent, autonomous society of association executives.

The purpose of The Alliance is to provide opportunities to liaison and provide cooperation between association society executives for the purpose of sharing information, learning from the experience of others, improving the management quality provided to association executive organizations, to provide liaison with ASAE on issues of mutual interest, and to represent association society executives in forums requiring that representation. Membership is open to local, regional, multi-state, independent, autonomous society of association executives. The ASA member representative is the chief staff officer or volunteer chair. There is not a provision for corporate membership at this time.

The Alliance:

Provides a list serve for members to solicit ideas, input and feedback.

Develops and sells the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Study Guide, updated in January 2010.

Meets in conjunction with the ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership Annual Meeting & Expo and at other times as needed.

Maintains a library of articles for use in publications.

Provides opportunity for sharing of expertise and experience.
